i haven't uploaded anything in ages. sorry! there's a lot i've been drawing, but it never feels good enough to post to my nice blogger blog, so i just dump it all in tumblr. um... on a blog-y sort of note, i went to national portfolio day and talked to calarts! they were really nice to me, it was awesome! i talked to LCAD too, and for the first time in awhile i thought about not going to calarts. their game art program looks amazing! i'm not really in a position to pick and choose though- we'll see where i get in. i'm pretty nervous! applying to schools is nervewracking.

here's a little self portrait i did a month or two ago. its probably the most accurate thing i've ever drawn. i'll upload more later, and i have to get my butt moving on figure drawing!! see ya!

i have 10 pieces in all for my concentration, each telling a different experience someone had with video games. the final piece is my own, personal experience, and also my favorite.

i drew some friends of mine as zelda: wind waker characters. i guess since im a professional, ill name this 'set 1'? set 2 is coming soon. i have a lot of friends!

do you like it? i'm excited for the next set. some of my favorite characters from that game are just the small, side characters that you don't even see unless you choose to do the side quests. zelda is really amazing that way. the last one, my friend madi, is based off of the salvage corp from the game- the divers on submarines that give you treasure maps and bottles. they're shirtless and in speedos, but my friend madi is a girl! i had to do a quick diver design, even though i don't know anything about divers. if there's a mistake, i'd love for you to tell me!

i'm reading 'brave new world' for english. that should be my cue to moan and groan about how much i identify with bernard marx, and how he and i are going through the exact same thing, about how i'm so alone, and no one understands, and i'm a misfit, and i think differently than ALL OF THEM, GOSH, but i won't do that to anyone. especially because i despise bernard marx. mainly because i despise bernard marx. i'm on chapter thirteen. the worst part is, i'm going to have to write an essay on this at the end of the year. moments before summer elation, completely dashed by fucking bernard marx.

i have angst. (but really i'm too young to have angst, i'm actually in a really good mood right now! i think i'll go watch amelie and then draw raspberries and zorro girls all night. bye!)

i would be a dishonest blogger if i didn't tell you this was from, like, january. i'm not very outfit inspired. i am a bad fashionista! i haven't even checked style rookie in like a YEAR! man. i don't even know what the new miu miu collections are. or rodarte, or commes de garcon, or any of that noise. i guess i stopped caring. there comes a point where you stop staring at the same balenciaga shoes for days and it just isn't enough to stare anymore. you have to decide- am i going to spend all my money on these, or art supplies?
